The Edgewick series consists of well drained soils which formed in alluvium under conifers and grass on valley floors in the vicinity of North Bend at elevations of 400 to 500 feet.. Slopes are less than 3%. The annual precipitation is 70 to 80 inches. The frost-free season is about 150 days.

Available Water Holding Capacity: Moderately high 

Runoff Potential: Slow 

Erosion and Slippage Hazard: Moderate to severe

Use and Management: The primary use of this soil is for pasture. Pasture forage yields are 5.0 tons/acre/year with good management. Douglas-fir, Western Red Cedar, Red Alder, and Bigleaf Maple are important tree species. These soils have moderate limitations on equipment use for site preparation and timber harvest. These soils have none to moderate limitations on selected recreational and engineering uses and severe limitations on other uses due to their flooding potential.
