2008 Election Notice

The King Conservation District will hold a public election on Tuesday, March 18, 2008 to fill position No. 2 on its five member Board of Supervisors. This position is a 3-year term. Polling stations will be staffed at the ten locations listed below during the hours of 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. All King County registered voters residing within the boundary of the District are eligible and encouraged to vote in this election.

  • Enumclaw Expo (Fairgrounds) Administrative Office - 45224 284th Avenue SE, Enumclaw WA

  • Issaquah Fish Hatchery - 125 West Sunset Way, Issaquah WA

  • Kirkland City Hall - 123 Fifth Avenue, Kirkland WA

  • Maple Valley Community Center - 22010 SE 248th Street, Maple Valley WA

  • Renton, City Hall - 1055 South Grady Way

  • Seattle City Hall - 600 4th Avenue, Seattle WA

  • Shoreline Center - 18560 1st Avenue NE, Shoreline WA

  • Snoqualmie Valley Senior Center - 4610 Stephens Avenue, Carnation WA

  • Vashon Island Maury Grange Hall - 11913 103rd Avenue SW, Vashon WA

King Conservation District board positions are unpaid. Board members are responsible for over-seeing District operations, staff, financial administration, and for guiding the direction of District programs and policies. The King Conservation District total annual revenue is approximately $6.3 million dollars, of which with approximately $2.5 million of this is used to fund district operations and a staff of 17.5 FTEs. Regular board meetings are held once a month on the second Monday of every month from 6:00 p.m. to approximately 9:00 p.m.
