Election Notice

The King Conservation District is holding a public election on Tuesday, February 13, 2007 to fill position No. 1 on its five member Board of Supervisors.  Candidates for this position include Matt Livengood and Max Prinsen.  Polling stations will be staffed at the seven locations listed below. All King County registered voters residing within the boundary of the King Conservation District are eligible and encouraged to vote in this election.

Polling locations are open from 11:00 am to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday February 13,  2007

  • Renton City Hall. 1055 South Grady Way, Renton, WA

  • Snoqualmie Valley Community Center. 4610 Stephens Ave, Carnation, WA

  • Kent City Hall. 220 - 4th Ave South, Kent WA

  • Enumclaw Fairgrounds Administrative Office. 45224 - 284th Ave SE, Enumclaw, WA

  • Kirkland City Hall.  123 Fifth Ave, Kirkland, WA

  • Shoreline City Hall. 17544 Midvale Ave N, Shoreline, WA

  • Garfield Community Center, 2323 East Cherry St, Seattle, WA

King Conservation District board positions are unpaid. Board members are responsible for over-seeing District operations, staff, financial administration, and for guiding the direction of District programs and policies.  The King Conservation District total annual revenue is approximately $5.87 million dollars, of which with approximately $1.8 million of this is used to fund district operations and up to 16 full time staff. Regular board meetings are held the second Monday of every month from 6:00 p.m. to approximately 9:00 p.m.
