2015 King Conservation District Board of Supervisors Election

The election period is now open for an open seat on the King Conservation District (KCD) Board of Supervisors. Voting in the KCD election is a way to demonstrate your support for local food, healthy forests and clean water.

The KCD election is conducted exclusively via the Internet. The voting period opened Tuesday, February 24, and will close at 11:59 PM Tuesday, March 10, 2015. People can vote from their personal computers or at public libraries. Additionally, a computer station is available through the voting period at the KCD office, 1107 SW Grady Way, Suite 130 in Renton. This computer station will be open from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM (PST) Monday through Friday through March 9, and the last day of the election  Tuesday, March 10, from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM (PST). Because this is exclusively a remote electronic election, no absentee ballots will be issued..

2015 Voting Process
This year’s election process was streamlined in order to allow voters to register and cast a ballot during one online session from their home, business or any other computer location with internet access. Election Trust LLC of Bellevue will be the designated third party Election Supervisor. Secure online voting will be administered by Election Trust on the Pnyx™ eVoting Platform (Secured by Scytl).

Voter Eligibility
All individuals registered to vote in King County are eligible to vote in King Conservation District Board of Supervisor elections except residents of cities that are not members of the District:  Enumclaw, Federal Way, Milton, Pacific and Skykomish. View voter eligibility map.

Internet Access
For those without internet access, computer access for voting is available at the King Conservation District office during the two-week voting period from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday through Friday and until 9:00 pm on the final day of the election. Alternately, voters can also visit their local library to gain internet access.
